Fishing at Hillend

Trout and pike fishing from the bank and club boats, with clear guidance for members and visiting anglers.

15 March–6 October 2026. The loch is stocked with Rainbow, Brown and Blue trout.

7 October 2026–14 March 2027. All pike must be returned.

Fishing is available from shore or club boat, subject to the club rules and access restrictions.

Permit required: visiting anglers must have a day ticket before accessing the loch.

Before you fish

Be prepared for equipment inspection and make sure tackle coming from another fishery is clean and disinfected.

Life jackets must be worn. Maximum two people per boat. Only club boats may be used.

Take litter and fish waste home, respect wildlife and observe designated no-fishing areas.
